IDL Attendance collects minimal data necessary to function as a classroom management tool. This includes basic account information (email, name) provided during registration via Supabase.
Our "Location-Based Attendance" feature requires temporary access to your device's location (GPS). This data is ONLY used momentarily to verify your presence within the classroom radius defined by the instructor. We do not track your location in the background, nor do we store your location history.
Our app facilitates secure communication between teachers and students without requiring or sharing personal phone numbers. Messages are securely stored and strictly limited to classroom context.
We use Supabase for authentication and data storage. These services handle your data according to their own security and privacy standards.

Anonymized or aggregated statistics that can no longer be linked back to you may be retained beyond this period for service improvement purposes. We do not retain any personally identifiable data after the 30-day deletion period.
