IDL Dynamics ("We", "Our", "Company") places great importance on the privacy and protection of personal data of the users ("You", "User", "Instructor", "Student") of our applications, including IDL Attendance and Mathdoku. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our applications.

By using our services, you agree to the data practices described in this policy.

1. What Information Do We Collect?

In order for our applications to perform their core functions (such as attendance tracking, class management, and communication), we collect the following data:

• Account & Profile Information: Your first name, last name, email address, and profile picture (if applicable) provided when you register via Google, Apple, or email.
• Location Information (Attendance Only): To ensure the security and validity of the attendance process, your instant location (GPS) is requested only when a check-in is initiated to verify if the student is within the designated campus or classroom boundaries. Our app does not track your location continuously in the background.
• Educational & In-App Data: Classes created, absence records, notes taken by instructors, announcements, and in-app messaging content.

2. How Do We Use Your Information?

We use the collected data solely for the following purposes:

• To create user accounts and enable secure login (authentication) processes.
• To ensure the location-verified attendance system works accurately and without fraud.
• To operate the in-app messaging and announcement system between instructors and students.
• To generate absence reports and statistics for instructors and institution administrators.
• To troubleshoot technical issues and improve app performance.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

Your personal data is never sold or rented to third-party companies for advertising or marketing purposes. Your information may only be shared in the following situations:

• Service Providers: With trusted infrastructure providers we work with for database management and cloud storage services (These services are subject to high security standards).
• Internal Institutional Sharing: Due to the nature of the application, student absence and profile information can only be viewed by authorized instructors of the class the student is enrolled in, and by institution administrators.
• Legal Obligations: When required by law, upon the request of authorized official authorities.

4. Data Security

The security of user data is our highest priority. Our application utilizes modern industry-standard encryption and database protection methods, such as "Row-Level Security (RLS)", to prevent unauthorized access, data loss, or alteration.

5. Data Deletion & User Rights

Our users have the right to request the permanent deletion of their accounts and all associated personal data at any time via our application or communication channels. Once the account deletion process is initiated, all your profile data, messages, and location history—except for data we are legally obligated to retain—are completely wiped from our servers.
